In this BISSELL campaign for Puppy Bowl/Super Bowl Sunday, we set out to create a very big mess to raise money for a very good cause – local animal shelters. Our live-streaming event featured eight rescue puppies, one pristine white room, fifteen gallons of spaghetti sauce, a champagne tower filled with brown gravy, and many more incredible messes. Every use of our sponsored hashtag on social media triggered a charitable donation and got us closer to unlocking another mess for the puppies (and everyone at home) to enjoy.

By the end of the night, the BISSELL Pet Foundation easily reached the $100,000 donation goal. We saw a 36% increase in usage of the #PetHappens hashtag. The campaign garnered over 185 million earned impressions – a 481% increase over the previous year’s effort. As an added bonus, the brand also saw sales double in the following weeks at big box retailers. As an added, added bonus, we got to spend a lot of time playing with puppies.
